The Story of Locavore

Welcome to Locavore Beer Works, a laid-back, community-focused craft brewery tucked into the Columbine neighborhood of Littleton—just west of Santa Fe Drive on Bowles. As the first brewery in Littleton to set up shop in a business zone, we’ve created a space where locals (and visitors!) can kick back, connect, and enjoy seriously good beer.

Our microbrewery specializes in handcrafted, small-batch brews, served in a warm, inviting atmosphere that’s friendly to families, dogs, and anyone who loves good vibes. Grab a seat inside, on our cozy front patio with a fire pit, or out back in our grassy beer garden. For a little friendly competition, head to our game room—stocked with over a dozen of the latest and greatest pinball machines and three dart lanes.

With over 30 beers on tap, our lineup spans a variety of European and American styles—something for every taste. You’ll also find coolers full of cans, bottles & kegs to take home. Locavore beers are proudly featured in local restaurants and retail shops throughout Colorado.

If you’re looking for award-winning beer, a welcoming crew, and a place that feels like your neighborhood hangout, Locavore is the place to be.

What is a Locavore?

A locavore is someone who supports local—local food, local businesses, local makers. It’s about choosing your community first and believing that the best stuff often comes from right around the corner.

At Locavore Beer Works, we’re all-in on that mission. We prioritize local sourcing—starting with nearby businesses, then expanding outward only when necessary. Whether it’s ingredients, services, or partnerships, we strive to keep things close to home.

Supporting local isn’t just a philosophy—it’s the heart of everything we do.

Food

We don’t serve food at the taproom, but we’re big fans of BYO—and luckily, we’re steps away from three tasty options:

  • Brad’s Pit BBQ
  • Makizushico (Japanese)
  • 4G’s at Columbine (Mexican)

About the Brewers

Jason Reinhardt served in the U.S. Navy before earning a degree in chemistry and spending two decades testing drinking water for pollutants. All the while, he was perfecting his brewing craft. When he’s not brewing, you’ll find him casting flies in the Platte or working on his next woodworking project.

Andy Nelson got his start in fermentation back in the ’70s, making hard cider with his dad. Though he’s an airline pilot by profession, his passion lies in brewing great beer and shooting the breeze with folks in the taproom.
