Locavore Taproom FAQ

Are Dogs Allowed?

Yes, we are “friendly dog” friendly inside the main taproom and on the front patio. Our grassy backyard Biergarten is a NO Dog Zone. From time to time, our furry friends like to voice their opinions, and while an occasional bark is understandable, especially when new four-leggeds arrive, consistent barking is disruptive to our other guests and staff, and you may be asked to step outside with your pet.

Are kids allowed?

Yes. We are family-friendly like a restaurant. In other words, children should not be running around unattended, disrupting our other guests. When in the Biergarten, children are not permitted outside the fenced area. Children running through the vegetable garden or playing in the Denver water runoff ditch may be asked to leave.

  • We have several games to keep children occupied. Board and card games are readily available for all ages.
  • Kids must be 15 years or older to play darts.
  • Pinball is intended for adults and kids who, at a minimum, are tall enough while on a footstool to see over the playfield. Standing on chairs and bar stools is a safety concern and is not allowed.
    • Do not place infants, young children, or pets on the pinball glass! It is made of real glass and can break, causing injury to the child and damage to the game.

Do you serve anything other than beer?

Our licensing allows us to serve only beer and hard seltzer, but we do offer a variety of non-alcoholic options.

I don’t drink beer; can I bring in my own wine/alcohol/drinks?

No. The State of Colorado Liquor Enforcement Division strictly prohibits outside alcohol. Bringing in non-alcoholic drinks is also frowned upon, as Locavore Beer Works relies on selling beverages as its primary source of income.

Do you serve food?

No. While we do have snacks, pretzels, bread, and ice cream treats, we do not serve prepared food. You are welcome to bring your own provisions or order from one of our neighboring restaurants.

RESERVATIONS

In addition to the general taproom guidelines, if you are looking to invite a large number of people to the Locavore living room, there are some additional things you need to know.

We do not host private parties. Locavore is a shared space.

We can reserve up to 75 seats inside or 49 seats in the biergarten, but keep in mind there may be a few dart players or pinball players on the day you choose to have your party (see our event calendar). Since the biergarten is outside, inclement weather may be an issue; we cannot and will not guarantee there will be accommodations should you need to move inside due to poor weather.

There is no cost to you to reserve tables.

We try to staff appropriately to accommodate the extra guests, but it is not always possible.

NO CONFETTI! But ballons are groovy. Balloons with confetti inside that randomly burst = Not groovy.

We do not allow parties for children of any age. While we try to be family-friendly, Locavore is ultimately an adult space that is a hybrid of a restaurant and a bar.

Most parties are set up in the game room side of the brewery, but that will ultimately be decided based upon other events for that day, and the size of your party.
